Payment Terms

Last updated: October 10, 2025

Please read these Payment Terms (hereinafter "Terms") carefully before using the TourneyMate application or website (hereinafter "Application" or "App") operated by TourneyMate, LLC (hereinafter, "us", "we", or "our").

By using the App, you agree to the following payment terms and conditions.

1. Subscription Plans and Billing

We offers various subscription plans ("Plans") that unlock additional features for clubs, organizers, or players. The details and pricing for each Plan are available on our Pricing page and may change from time to time. Each Organizer will require their own subscription for their club.

Your subscription begins as soon as your initial payment is processed. You will be billed in advance on a recurring basis (either monthly or annually, depending on your selected Plan). Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled before the next billing cycle.

We will always notify you in advance of any price changes that may affect your subscription.

Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards and other payment methods available through our secure payment processor. By providing payment details, you authorize TourneyMate to store and charge your payment method for subscription renewals and tournament registration fees. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the service.

Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will continue to have access to TourneyMate's features until then.

Refunds

Payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods or unused time. In some cases, we may offer a refund or credit at our sole discretion.

2. Tournament and Club Payments

We allow tournament organizers ("Organizers") to collect payments from tournament participants ("Players") for tournaments, events, or club memberships. Organizers are responsible for setting accurate prices, dates, and participation requirements. We do not make any guarantees about the quality, safety, or legality of events hosted. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

All tournament, service, and processing fees are processed through Stripe, our secure payment partner. TourneyMate's service fee (typically 7.9%, with a minimum of $1.00 and a maximum of $10.00) and Stripe's processing fee (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) are included in the total amount players see at checkout.

Our service fee support platform operations. This fee is non-refundable and will always be displayed before completing your payment.

3. Organizer Payouts and Stripe Handling

All payments between players and organizers must go through Stripe. Organizers will receive 100% of the amount they set, while all fees are collected at checkout from the player. The fees are not deducted from the organizer's payout.

Organizers are responsible for their own tax reporting and compliance. Stripe provides tax forms and documentation through its platform.

4. Financial Responsibilities

Organizers must provide accurate event details and comply with local regulations. Organizers can set their tournament registration fees knowing that TourneyMate and Stripe fees are handled automatically. There is no need to adjust pricing to account for them.

Players should carefully review and understand all fees before confirming payment. By completing a transaction, players accept full responsibility for charges made through their account.

5. Refunds, Chargebacks, and Disputes

Payments made through TourneyMate are non-refundable, unless otherwise specified by the Organizer or required by law.

If a Player initiates a chargeback, the Organizer is responsible for resolving it directly with the player or through Stripe.

We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in repeated chargebacks or suspected fraud to maintain a fair environment for all users.

6. Platform Role and Liability

We act solely as a facilitator between organizers and players. We do not oversee or manage events hosted by users. TourneyMate disclaims liability for any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from participation in tournaments or for financial disputes between users.

7. Indemnification

By using TourneyMate, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TourneyMate, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and partners from any losses, claims, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your use of TourneyMate's payment or subscription features;
  • A breach of these Payment Terms;
  • Violation of laws or third-party rights; or
  • Fraudulent or harmful actions impacting other users.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to change our Payment Terms at any time. If we make a change, we will provide you with notice, such as by sending an email or posting a notice on our website.
